I’ve been teaching IB Maths for eight years, mostly Analysis and Approaches, and I still enjoy the moment when logs, functions or calculus finally click for a student. I tutor online and work a lot with Year 12 and 13 students who need steady support rather than cramming. I also help with revision planning, past paper technique and IA ideas, especially when a topic is mathematically sound but too broad at first.

I teach IB English and spend most of my time helping students move from decent commentary to genuinely sharp analysis. My background is in language and rhetoric, so I’m especially useful for Paper 1, the individual oral and tightening up essay structure. A lot of my students come to me when they know what they want to say but cannot get it onto the page clearly under timed conditions, which is usually where we begin.

I’ve taught IB Chemistry long enough to know where students usually get stuck: energetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, then suddenly organic turns up and everything feels rushed. I keep lessons structured and fairly calm. We usually start with one tricky question, unpack the chemistry behind it, then build from there. I also read IA drafts and help students make their method and uncertainties more convincing.

Hi, I’m a physics tutor who works only with IB students, mainly those taking HL and trying to keep up with the pace of the course. I like teaching fields, circular motion and wave phenomena because those topics often look worse than they really are. Most of my sessions are a mix of explanation, worked examples and past-paper questions. I also help students shape Physics IAs that are realistic to carry out.

I tutor IB Computer Science and usually work with students who are fine with the theory but freeze when pseudocode or trace tables appear. My degree is in computer science, and I’ve also spent time mentoring sixth form students through the internal assessment, from picking a workable client problem to writing up the evaluation properly. I’m especially good with Topic 4 and exam technique for Paper 2.

I’ve been tutoring IB Psychology for several years and I’m still fascinated by how differently students respond to the same study once we look at the method properly. I help with the core approaches, research methods and essay planning, but I’m often brought in for the internal assessment as well. If a student is losing marks through vague evaluation or weak use of studies, that’s usually where we start.

I work with IB English Literature students who want their essays to sound more thoughtful and less formulaic. My own background is in literature, and I tend to focus on close reading, authorial choices and building arguments that do not drift halfway through. I particularly enjoy poetry and drama, and I often help students prepare for the oral by finding a line of discussion that feels natural rather than rehearsed.

I tutor IB Economics with a strong focus on diagrams, application and writing answers that actually address the question set. A lot of students know the content but drop marks because they explain everything they know instead of making a precise argument. I teach both micro and macro, help with commentary structure, and spend a fair bit of time on evaluation because that is usually where the top grades are won or lost.

Hi, I teach IB Business Management and most of my students come to me for help turning loose ideas into answers that fit the markscheme. I’ve worked with students on case study technique, finance topics and the internal assessment, especially when they’ve chosen a business they know well but are unsure how to analyse. I keep lessons practical and usually use real company examples so the theory does not stay abstract.
